Summary

I really liked wizard23\'s Screwable Jewellery Box, and wanted to use it as a cup. But unfortunately, I couldn\'t get AoI and MetaCAD working properly on my machine so I attempted to learn OpenSCAD and recreate it so that I could customise it to make cups.

Update: I modified the scad file so that the object now fits in the radius specified (as opposed to creating the screw threads around said radius, thus ending up with a larger object). I have also added a shot glass sized cup.

This is very cool. I printed a couple of rainbow versions by feeding in different colour plastics one after another. It turned out really well.

Pretty big for a shot glass, but a really cool model. Great for showing off what my Cupcake CNC can do, although 50% size would be enough for that. Pretty cool. Thanks for designing!

Think about all the space you can save =-X

Tried printing but it started warping but it looks awesome

Thanks! The cup is rather large. You could use OpenSCAD to generate a smaller cup if you want. Otherwise I'll throw up a smaller version when I get home. I need some spiral shot glasses anyway :)

I had to print it on a heated platform to prevent warping.
