I created this miniature to make my Terry Pratchett bookshelf even more entertaining.
Here is video of the model in my bookshelf: https://youtu.be/Mj2SWMG2nGI
This model requires significant amount of filing for assembling. Places are very tight and I had to use red hot wire to make them bigger and to allow some more space for paint.
A mirror is needed at the back of the model. It will create an impression of really long and curved street. The model has a place for 6mm thick mirror, but I used a PVC thin mirror. It is easier to handle.
The led torches are put through small holes in the walls and glued with glue pistol from behind. The flames are made of hot melted glue as well.
Mirror, walls and coblestones are glued together with hot-glue gun.
I used a dozen of thingiverse free models to make this. I used OpenScad and Blender to model this. Blender is significantly better with large objects, but OpenScad is easier to deal with.
I used MS 3D tools (https://tools3d.azurewebsites.net) and RepetierHost to fix objects.
