These sets of brackets correctly aligns the z-axis components (the 10mm guide rods and the threaded rod), and supports the threaded rods by aligning and isolating the load from the shaft of the stepper motor and transfers that load to the motor body so any misalignment of the motor does not affect the threaded rod alignment.
NOTE: get the supports pieces CNC cut (water jet cutter, laser, etc) and do not attempt to make these by hand, you really want these to be accurate to +/- 0.01 mm, or worst case +/- 0.1mm.
NOTE: make sure there is no wobble or looseness in the 4 x linear bearings that support the printed bed it is critical these too are very high quality; if in doubt, replace with high quality ones.
You will need:
qty 4 x high quality cut support pieces in 3mm thick aluminium (using the dxf file)
qty 4 x F6000-2Z 10x26x8 mm flanged Bearing Ball Bearings to support the threaded rods; NOTE: these must be very high quality (ABEC 5)
qty 16 x M3 x 10mm countersunk screws with lock-nuts to hold the bearings in place
qty 4 x Depth Stop Collars Ring 10mm for the threaded shafts
qty 8 x SHF10 horizontal linear shaft support for the 10mm rods
qty 16 x M4 x 20mm counter sunk screws with lock-nuts for the SHF10's
qty 8 x M3 x 35 mm hexagonal brass standoffs (female to male) for the stepper motors
qty 8 x M3 split washers that go between the M3 standoffs and the stepper motors
qty 8 x M3 x 8 mm screws to hold the lower plate onto the standoffs
