I was thinking of printing it in Brown.. Thoughts?

Why not? My cohost was going to paint one with a paint that once treated will look just like rust. Although in my experience these couplers on real trains are usual totally black from dirt.

Added bolts and nut modded from the thing referenced. Please size them according to the tolerances of your 3D Printer.

Neat idea. Thanks for this. I have a few questions.

Does the single part print also move or is it stationary?

For the separate prints with the nuckle, Is there supposed to be a ball that goes inside it?

The 2 flat bottom versions are all 1 part and solid. I printed my sample in Simplify3D with the "Merge All Outlines into Solid Model" setting On so the bolt hole was filled in.

Good Question about the ball. The original posting (see the remix reference) does not have a ball in the version with the separate Knuckle. I am printing the multi-part version now. If it needs a ball I'll look at adding one as well as a 3D Printed bolt/nut.

I am currently printing the Hitch part of the multi part version... it's best printed on the side for strength. I am forgoing the lip at the top so it prints easy.

It looks like you grabbed my remix of the original, which is indeed designed to close and lock with a steel ball (for magnetic uncoupling.) In the 1:32 scale version it's designed for a 4.5mm BB, I don't know what you scaled it up to for this version but the ball should scale appropriately.

I love what you've done with it though and if I ever install a hitch you can believe it will get one of these!
