This is a 3d-printable spool holder for the Dremel 3D 45 printer. It makes it so the printer can hold Hatchbox filament (never tested but should take other types) that is larger then the default Dremel spool holder.
Print FilamentAdapterHolder.stl with high infill (30% will do), high perimeters and without supports
Print FilamentAdapterPin.stl with small infill and supports. Rotate so the flat part of the piece is on the bed. This pin is designed to hold the filament drum in while still having less drag when feeding.
Print FilamentAdapterGuard.stl with a small infill and no supports. This guard goes into the hole you will feed the filament through. It is designed to stop the filament from cutting through the plastic on the printer. You may need to shrink it down by a couple percent or cut off the edges to get it to fit snug.
Insert the holder into the base spool holder that comes with the printer, rotate it in and put the support down.
Place the filament guard into the upper square hole that is for the lid lock.
Add the hatchbox spool so it feeds clockwise into the filament guard hole, and then down into the feeder tube.
- Add the filament pin in to lock the filament spool in place.
