The HERO Duct is a great item and a vast improvement over the stock part cooling duct. This is my second duct, the first finally deformed from heat of many hours of printing. I thought that adding some lights to the duct would be of some use. This set of LED lights gets its power from the 24V hot end cooling fan. I wired this into a quick connect on the fan supply, which I also added when I changed out the stock fan. This required some experimentation to select the correct current limiting resistor so that i could use 24V system and not have to find a low voltage source elsewhere. Saves running any more wires down through the loom as well.

The duct was a stock HERO Duct. The Light bar was my design that I cobbled together with the help of TINKERCAD. I used 3 - 5mm White HO LED's and suitable wiring to connect to the fan supply. This is a labor intensive design that required some soldering and experimentation. There are probably easier ways to do this, but I don't usually take the easy route for many things.

Built in two parts so that when the duct gets damaged by heat, I don't need to remake the entire thing. Just knock the light bar off and print a new duct.
