What is an EyePod?
The EyePod is a 3D printed articulated eye for use in robotics projects. It is perfect for use in vision tracking or any application that needs a camera. It features a servo operated iris, a webcam, and provisions for a 16 segment Neopixel ring.
I originally designed this as part of a replacement head for my Inmoov robot and may continue that effort. I have found other uses for it since.
The EyePod has internal servos to control the iris and elevation functions. It will need a base with an additional servo so it can pan left and right. One version I designed is below.
Servos - 2X Hitech HS-225MG
Camera - EZRobot Camera used but any webcam can be adapted
Neopixel Ring - 16 Segment
Gimbal Bearing 11x5x4
Hardware - 5mm socket head cap screw
