Watch Zeldathon Response this December 27, 2018 to January 2, 2019! All proceeds from this charity gaming marathon will benefit Direct Relief.
Here's a fidget spinner made especially for this event.
These are a relatively simple design that's fun to print. I even sent 40+ of them along to Zeldathon!
If you enjoy this design, please make a donation to Zeldathon! Please mention where you came from in the comments. If you're not sure how much to give, I recommend $3.00 as a good starting point. (Or $3.14 if you're nerdy.)
In action! Model: Ganon11
I printed the body of the spinner in Solutech Forest Green PLA on a Rapide Lite 200.
I printed the bearing caps in AMOLEN Frosted Bronze PLA on a Creality Ender 3 Pro with a glass build plate.
I used XIKe 608RS bearings for assembly.
If the friction fit of the bearing caps is not secure enough, they are designed to be hot glued (although this was not necessary in this batch). Insert the bearing into the spinner body and insert the first cap. Fill the reservoir with low-temperature hot glue, leaving a bead on top. Then do the same on the second cap and put it in place. The hot glue will harden and forma rivet that will hold the caps in place.
