Summary

I was looking for a way to keep the h3-3d gimbal from swinging around and nothing was here. Here is attempt 1,its basic, but worked out pretty good with no additioan parts needed or supports.
I just posted version 2, this version still uses no additional parts or supports but might need rafts. CAM2.stl is version2
Version 3 has jusr been posted, this version will allow you to plug the USB into the GoPro without removing the gimbal clamp. Cam3.stl is version3.

If you are looking for the vision + version its here

Will this work on Phantom 2 H4-3D gimbal ?

What are the different for V1, 2 and 3

It doesn't quite fit the h3-2d. Any chance I can get the source file to alter it? What program did you use to create it?

I'll try to print for the h3-2d, don't have the 3d yet.

I moved my cam-bus and iOSD internally. I also printed the 600 mAh TX and mounted that on the side. Ran new wires from the iOSD and cam-bus down through the hole in the leg strut, kept it nice and tidy. This gimbal clip will work perfectly. Thanks for the model :) When I finish printing the clip, I'll post a pic.

Actually this design wlll not work on a Phantom 2 (H3-3D Gimbal) if the cam-bus and compass are located in the "normal" position on the right front landing strut. Although theoretically they could be located to another strut, this proves problematic as it interferes with weight distribution and antenna locations. It would be great if you could do a design which would accomodate this.

The cambus was located on the same leg, the compass was not. As stated previously in another comment, I did move the cambus to the inside along with a mini iOSD. The compass was and still is located on the rear left leg, if looking at the front of the phantom 2. As far as weight, the cambus, mini iOSD and vTX has not shown any flight issues. So if you are planning on running the H3-3D gimbal with the iOSD mounted internally and want the cambus inside as well, this will work for you. I can provide further pics if this is still unclear. If you are not planning on moving the cambus, then this design will not work for you.

Thanks for that clarification - I wasn't planning on mounting the iOSD and cambus internally so I guess it won't work as I have it configured .. not enough room inside with the other stuff I have there - back to the drawing board! Thanks anyway

just wondering you don't seem to have the compass thing on the leg, isn't it going to make cliping it to the leg impossible?

I do but its on a different leg and I don't recall moving it. I did however move the cam bus connector to the inside so that I could run an iOSD without it hanging outside. So in short this should not interfere with the compass, but may require the cam bus to be moved but I don't recall.

oh man, someone needs to create one for the vision+ gimbal...the factory one is a PIA to put on!!

DJI Phantom 2 Vision + Camera Gimbal lock lens cover

I have a vision+ as well, if I get a chance maybe I'll put something together.

Im not sure, I have printed this a couple of times with no issue on a replicator 2

Whenever I try to print this on my Replicator 5th Gen I get an error - "Print Failed. An unexpected error occurred while starting print." Any idea what could be causing it? I've printed several things before and after trying your model. Thanks!
