Star Trek Borg Cube Mini ITX PC case
I designed this over a year ago… just getting around to putting it up for others.
Note you’ll need a large printer for this, it’s about 250 mm on each side. I used my 300 x 300 mm D-bot.
It’s an ambitious print requiring multiple color changes during printing for the top, front, and sides, but for me it was totally worth it, I get many compliments on it.
I’ve got it running as my main PC and it also is my VR PC with an Oculus rift.
Assembly instructions pdf file is provided.
Designed in Sketchup, and the sketchup file is provided if others would like to remix / improve it.
Components I used (I took measurements from these parts to design the Borg Case, but I think all the mechanical attachment dimensions are standardized):
Motherboard: ASRock H270M-ITX/ac LGA 1151 motherboard (this board looks to be discontinued, but I would think any mini-ITX motherboard should fit)
Power Supply: FSP 450W Mini ITX Solution/SFX 12V / Micro ATX 80 Plus Bronze Certification Power Supply (FSP450-60GHS(85)-R)
Power Switch: Electop 2 Pin SW PC Power Cable on/Off Push Button ATX Computer Switch Wire 45cm (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LMZZFWO/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_oqQkCbVCEE06X )
Graphics Card (YOU DEFINITELY NEED A SMALL CARD TO FIT IN THE BOX): ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 Mini 8GB GDDR5 VR Ready Super Compact Gaming Graphics Card (ZTP10700G-10M)
- Green LED Fan: 120mm PWM case fan Solar Eclipse Hydraulic Bearing by HI PC
