This model is a mount for the RepRap Discount Full Graphic LCD Display on the Ender 3 and Ender 3 Pro (Tested on the Ender 3 Pro but it should also work on the Ender 3).
(Sorry for the bad Picture the lighting conditions in that room are horrible for photos)
How do you even use a RepRap display with the Ender 3 mainboard?
Well I replaced the original mainboard with an MKS Gen L. There is a very good video by Teaching Tech: https://youtu.be/LNdMYgwez8Y
PS: Yes I know, that you can use the stock display if you flip the connector. I also had to flip the two connectors on the RepRap Discount LCD but the main reason I opted for a new display was the missing SD slot on the stock display and I also think that the stop/reset button is a neat addition.
I also want to add, that I used one of these copies with a red pcb. The name of the display is "RepRapDiscount Full Graphic Smart Controller"
- 4x M3*12 Screws
- 2x M5*8 Screws (Screws for the stock display mount)
The Model should face with the display plate down so that the part with the 2 holes and the Ender Logo sticks up.
Tap the mounting holes for the display by slowly screwing a M3 screw into the mounting holes without adding the display. This should make it easier to screw them in with the display in place and should hold the screws in place.
Don't tighten them too much or you might break the print or the screen.
