Oh btw one question. Whats the size of the top holes (Specifically the width). I tried printing mine but the AA and AAA did not fit in. Is there enough width tolerance? I thought I calibrated my holder, I'm currently double checking via calibration cube.

Ideally there should be a tolerance of an extra few mm, because a larger width will not break the function of the print. But too small may jam it.

(The problem could be I tend to calibrate to round down the calibration. So if you add in exact value... my print will fail). Your design needs to account for variation in people's calibration setup.


Okay so my calibration on the x and y axis was off by just over half a mm.
Unlike my last calibration cube, I am now using which requires measuring the hole instead of the outside... which should hopefully be more accurate way of reading calibration. My last calibration cube was using a standard 20x20x20 cube and measuring the outside. (Which can slip a bit during measurement I think).

x = 19.45 mm
y = 19.20 mm
z = 20.09 mm

I think still that it doesn't hurt to add a bit wider tolerance margin however. But that's up to you.

The width in top holes has a tolerance of 1 mm, maybe insufficient tolerance. In the only impression I have done, it has been enough.

Anyway I include the file fcstd, with which anyone can modify the dispenser to their needs.

I include an dispenser_plus1.STL file with 1mm more tolerance in each hole. ;-)

Oh btw please add "battery dispenser" to your title so people can find it! I think it looks good.
