I wanted some plant pots that would self-water. Nothing clever - just let me dip string and wick water up into the pot. I couldn't find anything which printed well without a large number of supports or which was whatever size I wanted it to be.
So I created one.
It's very simple - a top and bottom part driven by parameters so it can be whatever size you want. Just drop string through the holes (make sure it's made from a natural fibre that will soak up water), fill with compost and plant up as normal, then fill the base with water.
Two sets of STLs are provided - one tiny one for testing it prints OK (or could be used for succulents) and a larger one the size I needed.
If you want your pots to have a long life, probably better to print them in ABS or PETG.
