This is a Magnetic Diamond Hotend effector for my [FolgerTech] Kossel Magnetic Upgrade - V2 "thing". ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1064124/comments/#comment-2257012 )
I created it over 2 years ago but have not had the opportunity to test it as of yet, so please keep that in mind. I did print it out, and it holds well, but I have not tested actual printing with it yet.
I modified Olooki3D's effector and added 'ducting' to the side of the cooling fins to force the air through the heatsinks better.
It can be assembled with the heatsinks aligned with the towers (probably preferred) or between the towers depending on how you mount it to the base.
This is designed for 15MM round dish magnets, and to be used with my magnetic attachment design. (Link above)
Again, this is currently UNTESTED beyond fitament.
NOTE It's probably a good idea to use a silicone 'sock' or similar for the hotend. I actually smeared automotive High-Temp Silicone gasket maker on mine (about 2mm thick), and made a 1/16" insulator between the heatsinks and the Diamond nozzle with a shape cut out of a sheet of High-temp Silicone Gasket.
Any ABS recommended
ABS is recommended due to the proximity to the Diamond Nozzle.
Layer/Nozzle resolution is really up to you, as well as the Infill, but I wouldn't go less than 50% with the infill. And I'd use 3 or 4 perimiters.
Assembles with 3 M3x10 bolts. You'll of course need a Diamond hotend & heatsinks, and a 50MM fan.
I took a look at the other Diamond Hotend mounts for Kossels out there, and decided that I liked the 'Modular' approach that Olooki3D took with his. I just wanted to enhance the cooling a little bit, as E3D stuff is great as long as you keep the 'cool zone' cool. ;-) So I tweaked his effector a bit and created a base for my Magnetic Attachment system, and this is the result!
