X gantry mounted LED light strip mount designed for the Ender 3 and Ender 3 Pro. Will also fit onto any 2020 or 2040 etc strip, so can fit other printers, or mount onto other T slot rails: ie can fit onto the vertical rails of the Ender 3 if desired.
LED strip mount simply clips into the rear T slot of the X gantry, and are angled a few degrees to direct light under the gantry. There are two versions, V2 has a fillet added on the under side for some extra strength/stiffness.
NOTE: I recommend sliding this in from the end of the channel rather than trying to press the clips into the channel: I suggest that trying to press them in will very likely break the mounting points!
I installed LED light strips not only to the X gantry, but also inserted LED strips into both vertical uprights, and mounted an LED light strip onto the hot end: see below for links to these.
I took power from the Ender-3 PSU, and converted the 24V DC to 12V DC for the LED strips using a buck as per https://howchoo.com/g/odk2ngrhztd/how-to-add-an-led-strip-to-your-3d-printer
I threaded the power wires inside the braided sleeve up to the extruder, an then brought then out through the side of the braid and routed them to the LED mount. To protect the wires from rubbing on the lead screw or getting jammed in any of the rollers, I created a simple clip to hold and hide the wires. See link below
I have also created a similar mount to attach a 50mm LED light strip onto the hot end to light the nozzle from the side to essentially eliminate shadows. See link below
I have designed a switch mount for the Ender 3 control to discretely mount a power switch for the LED lights.

UPDATE Dec 6, 2019 added refined version 2 with strengthening fillets added to beef up the mounting clips as some users have reported that they had trouble with the clips being fragile and breaking off. (I did not have any problem with the strength of the clips used in the original design).
