Hey! This thing is still a Work in Progress. Files, instructions, and other stuff might change!

Can the impeller be expanded to fit a 5HP motor and these specifications? This design is between 75-92dB so we'd like to reduce the noise by ~75%.

look at matthias wandel youtube channel as he build some cyclone and vacuum blower to fit and did some tests.
for example if you curve your blades you would gain noise compared to your straight (and running "backward")

hello, i know matthias wandel youtube channel and i already saw this video. To design a silent fan, it's not easy and no one have a tool to check that. It's a try an retry.
My impeler is not straight ;-) the profil have several curve but in picture it's not easy to see that.
Except that, we don't have a professionnal 3d printer, it's design for standard 3D printer (in high definition) ;-)
Actually this project is at standby due to the difficulty to design a real bladeless fan (type DYSON)

Good video, seems there was one control design and one experimental design. I wonder what other experimental designs achieve the same effects or advantages?

hello, i like your cyclone dust collector.
But my impeller was not designed for this utilisation.
If you want more low noise, you can seperate the vacuum part of the cyclone part. Or you can add noise isolation on your system.
