That's a pretty cool way of using that! How well does plate hold the board? That was always one of my concerns with the design.

It's never fallen out yet, but I've only move the printer a couple of times since I put it in.

An even cheaper option would be to use a tp-link wr703 mini router, it has a little more oomph than a Rpi and gives you Wifi out of the box. running a slicer on it might be not such a good idea, though.

Brilliant! Combine this with an stl file interpreter on the host computer.  Printing would be:

File: Load STL file
Print: Select Printer> Printer options>Print to selected printer

Wow, just like printing in 2D!!!

 I have experimented with a patch to Cura to exactly this :)

This is a very basic implementation, see the commit note before using.

So cool! I have been thinking of doing something like this--a computer and printer all in one.
