Summary

Straight Lego train track that fits the tracks of Lego City.

In the remix I have corrected some dimensions from the original awesome work of barspin and fetched inspiration from the "Simple Lego Train Track, Straight" by bitrunner.
With this version it fits very well with the standard tracks, not to hard and not to soft :)

Version history
v4.1 fixed two reversed faces.

Very nice work!
Can you please remix the curves too?

I need the train tracks solid can you make this for me?

I looked at it and saw that the curves where cheaper to buy then print so I skipped them.

The mesh has a non-manifold area on the bottom of one of the rail segments at the very end of the track (not sure which corner, but if you view it in meshmixer or netfabb you can see it). I'm pretty worthless when it comes to fixing meshes that "auto repair" won't do for me, but I would also like to remix this part and without this issue fixed I can't successfully make my changes. Would you be so kind as to take a look at the model and repair that part of it? (Otherwise this track is excellent; as even a shoddy print was able able to connect to other segments just fine. Good job with the dimensional refinements!)

Thanks for the comment, I have fixed two reversed faces now so you can test to download the new 4.1 file.

Best regards
/Hans

The non-manifold issue seems to be fixed now - thanks! However, unfortunately 123D Design (still) considers this an "open mesh", so I can't convert it to a solid and/or add/subtract objects from it, and Meshmixer totally screws it up when I try and make it a solid there as well. So unless you know how to get 123D Design to not see it as an "open mesh" anymore, I still can't manipulate it the way I wanted to. :(

Regardless, good work on the connector sizing! (I might be able to "cut" those off and use them for my own purposes, even if I can't use anything else. ;) )

I am using maker bot desktop and MakerBot Replicator 2 to print. The size of the track is 135mm x 63.75mm x 9.74mm. Is the size as same as yours? Does it fit to the regular lego track? Can I use infil: 10%, number of shells: 2, layer of height: 0.2mm, temp: 230c ?

The size is the same as mine and it fits the Lego™ tracks, I think it should print OK with your settings so happy printing :)

Thanks for sharing, it fits nicely! Cheers, Franck

Thank you for your kind reply :)

Is it cheaper for me to print these or buy a box of 24 for 20 bucks?

I think it's cheaper for you to buy.
Where can I find 24 for $20?

I last saw them on ebay and amazon for that price.

It's was cheaper for me to buy the curves on ebay and se also have to many of them here at home because they are in every train box.
