I'm brand new to 3D printing and tabletop gaming. Here's a base I designed for gloomhaven monsters that will hold 2x 12mm dice (HP, etc) and has a slotted groove to slide-in the monster standee.
I've been printing the monsters connected to the base, as I've yet to find a glue that holds as well.
I've printed 10-12 of the hex bases, some white, some gold, to then slide the monsters into during play.
Feedback welcome, will happily modify.
I've been printing on anycubic photon with default settings, default supports in a variety of orientations without any issues. I've not tried printing without supports since the tolerances required of the slide-in are fairly tight, and support-less printing seems to skew these straight edges a bit.
Since they'll be handled regularly, I'd suggest a thin coat of primer. Not too thick or you may have trouble sliding in the monster base to the hex stand.
