My compliments on your design! I made a couple of jalanjarosz's spool, but there were a few things I didn't like, and your version addresses those perfectly.

I have an issue with the end model, however: the threads are separated from the center. I'm attaching the preview from Simplify3D so you can see the problem. It looks like the model isn't water-tight, there's a gap where the threads meet the outer part of the spool. I was able to repair the mesh using MakePrintable, however at the cost of losing resolution. Could you look into it, or post the source file so I can hack on it?

I added a new STL labeled End v2 for you to try. I will remove the old version once I finish a test print.

Thanks again. I sliced the V2 file with Simplify3D and printed it; looks great and threads work perfectly! I'll post a make when I have some filament loaded on it.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm glad it worked out!

The V2 file looks good, thank you! Slic3r patches small holes automatically, which can be good for issues like this, but bad when you intentionally add small slots as hints to the slicer, i.e. "put more perimeters this way."

Thanks a lot. I sliced it in Slic3r and it imported as manifold, it also printed fine on the MK3. I haven’t used Simplify 3D yet but I can go back and check the original model and save out a new STL.
