This is an awesome idea that I am using for our 3D print shop for my classroom. However, the Marvin feet seem not to fit into the the display case. I printed using all of your settings, however the opening is slightly smaller than the feet. Any ideas or fixes?

Printer: Dremel 3D45
Display: Printed using ECO-ABS
Marvins: Printed using various colors of PLA

All settings as directed.

Hi, yes, it fits tight. Most printers will do a slightly wider first layer and this extra plastic makes it harder to place Marvin. But this extra plastic either goes away on the pressure or you can remove it with a blade as part of the finishing process. I do the second.

I can make the hole bigger but at the end the Marvin will get loose and won´t stand still and fall due to the shape of the feet and the movement of the display.

I made a prototype for a magnetic version but it´s more expensive to build and you´ll need to reprint all the Marvin.

Thanks for the reply. I am trying to print at 99% scale based on measurements it may fit better. I will let you know. But once again awesome alternative to the paint sample style color displays!

Edit: 99% becomes too small. You were correct, carefully removing the first 2 layers is best. Will post a MAKE when complete
