Modified version of soasystem's original model, reducing some of the internal material to make it more flexible (even the original parts were very difficult to extract and replace) and slightly elongating it to protrude a bit more out of the foot for better grip and shock absorption. Designed to fit LeCroy scope feet from the late 1990s to about 2010, built in the same form factor.
I have been printing them in TPU to reasonably good results, but a slightly softer material may be desirable - they are a hard rubber sort of texture with my print settings. These will require slight post processing for good visual results, but the work is quick.
First pull the copies apart, then use side cutters to cut off any larger stumps at the base of the strings. When the larger bits are done, take a hot air gun and melt the strings as needed on each one, they can also be pulled off, but it looks cleaner and is done faster using heat.
