What size is the largest park?

Can you add a removable cover and a longer drive shaft pin? I would love to use this in a large RC but I need to keep the oil in the gear box and add a drive shaft to this.

Has anyone using Slic3r or the Prusa version of Slic3r gotten a print with such extreme layer shifts that the print is essentially trashed after just a few layers? I don't think the problem is with my printer, but I've noticed that some models make the slicer go bonkers, some don't. For reference, I'm using Prusa Slic3r 1.41.0 with supports enabled but all other settings default for .15mm Optimal MK3 (PET filament). I just threw everything on the plate and hit arrange. Printing parts individually is fine.

When I started 3D printing 2 years ago, I had all sorts of problems with Cura that came with my printer, and after evaluating Slic3r and a few others, I went with Simplify3D and never looked back. Even when I got my Prusa printer, I stayed with Simplify3D. I retried Slic3r Prusa edition, but did not put a lot of effort into it to tweak it, and found that Simplify3D just worked. Yes, it costs money, but I don't value my time at 1 cent an hour, so Simplify3D has more than saved its costs in time to me.

Good luck with Slic3r.

I have Simplify 3D, and I think Cura is much better. Especially at supports.

Go on, just to prove me right. Open the shell of this car in Simplify3D and slice it,.(I scaled it down to 50% to fit on my bed) Notice there are no supports generated for the horizontal piece below the rear window?

What use is a slicer that can't even manage supports?

Actually, it's much worse than that. Simplify 3D doesn't create support for the front or rear valance, either. What a useless piece of software. I wouldn't own it again if it was free!

It's no wonder they don't offer a free trial. Nobody would buy it.

Way better than this one I designed, but I designed it in TinkerCad (yes poor me)... I wanted to proof the teacher wrong than only simple designs could be made in a program like TinkerCad. No need for SpaceClaim or SolidWorks. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:724379

Differential Gear 2.1 / 3.0 & 3.1 (education)

That's really cool man! I've always wanted to make an RC car that looks and works like a real car with a drive line exactly as you made, disc brakes, steering rack, etc...But awesome job bro! I can't wait to print it!!!

What kind of glue should I use if I print it in PLA? Great job by the way.

I used Loctite super glue and it works perfectly.

NOTE: Getting in the last two gears, I put one one either side and they rolled in with ease.

what am I doing wrong the axeks are way to big to fit into the gears

check your z axis for first layer build adhesion , if you have too much first layer squish then it will not fit.

Can you mail at me ? i'll try to help you out.

Am I doing something wrong or the hole in part 11 is too small for the longer shaft?

what software do you use to design the gear?

Fantastic job. Any chance to have the original solid works file?

really cool it could come really helpful

Can you make a pass through, for dual axial ???

That's my duck ladies and gentlemen.
