My car is a bit older (2004), bought it used and it didn't have the factory floor mats. Bought a set of generic floor mats that I thought I'd like. But they keep sliding around and ultimately bunching up behind the pedals. Not safe and annoying to have to readjust them.
So I made this. Drill two holes in the floor mat on the end that's closest to the seat. Insert the screw through the hole and thread on the claw looking piece. Tighten em down with a coin. Place it in the car where you'd like em to be, then hammer away at the spikes so that it pokes deep into the carpet. So far so good, has kept my mats from skating around on the floor of the car.
