This version of the HD Enclosure is ever so slightly smaller and uses a sliding lid so that you don't need to use screws.

Build, put hard drive in enclosure, slide lid into place. Get your USB to SATA cable from your favorite souce (about $10 on ebay) and make your own very compact portable hard drive...

I have a SSD here that fits.  Since the outside dim of an SSD is the same as a 2.5 HD, there really should not be any problem using either.

Doesn't work with SSDs as they are completely flat on the bottom or at least the Vertex 4 I own is but most of the ones I have researched are flat like mine.

In the time it took you to whine about it, you could have fixed it so it does work.

Commenting on a comment from damn near five years ago just because you had a need to troll or are you ignorant about how things worked, or didn't, way back then?. Remember that five years ago the tools we have now were not available and modifying pre made stls (even worse was sketchup back then as they all had holes and were malformed in some ways plus sketchup was not free back then so a lot of people were using illegal versions or the free version that was not as capable) was out of the question so your reply just made you to look the fool and/or a troll.
