That's clickbait. Who makes a tire cap without threads ?

It worked well, printed at 100% in Australia. I didn't want to sell my bike without one.

Worked perfectly and never came loose since about five months!

Printed at 100% scale, Infill 10%

Worked for me printed at 100% .15mm resolution

Worked great for me, printed at 98% !

need a tire stem valve tightener on the top :)

I changed the OpenSCAD code so you have more control over the internal size... and shape.

The internal diameter (int_dia) variable is now broken into a "high" and "low." High is deep inside the cap. Low is the mouth of the cap. Play with the settings until you get exactly what you need.

I was kind of surprised at the variance between the sizes of valve stems on different makes and models. You'd think this is "one size fits all," but apparently not.

If you don't use OpenSCAD, send me a note at maikai.guy@gmail.com, give me an idea of what dimensions you need and I'll e-mail back a .stl for you.

Thanks for the design. For Australia, I used high_int_dia=3.8 and low_int_dia=4.0, using TPU, 100% fill. A nice firm fit. But note that the *_int_dia values are actually radii, not diameters!

I guess that's better than my previous solution -- hanging around gas station air pumps looking for the caps that other people lost!

Sure beats a trip to the store!
