Hi there, amazing design. How do I get another currency added? New Zealand - NZD
Thanks

I've just added the STL files for NZD :-)

(It's possible to use the customizer to add currencies, though my impression is that for computing power reasons, that works best if you have OpenSCAD running on your own system. The online customizer seems a bit too slow these days ...)

I have just uploaded the STL files for all available currencies in the latest version (7.4).

They are not in alphabetical order, so you have to either pick out the for files with

  • Basebox
  • Topboard
  • Tuberack
  • Tubes

for the currency you're interested in, or download the entire ZIP package and more easily extract these files on your local system.

Hi
I’m looking for the Thai Baht version (THB), but seems to be missing
Thank you

I've just uploaded the STL files for THB! :-)

I'm maybe missing something here, but I couldn't find the NIS (Israeli Shekel) version, do I need to use the customizer for this ?

I've just uploaded the STL files for NIS :-)

Customizer is correct, but I'm not sure it works all that well in Thingiverse at the moment, so I try to upload the files whenever someone needs them.

(It's sort of a laborious manual process, that's why I didn't just upload everything right from the start.)

Awsome design!
However, I am also getting this error on online Customizer too: #<Encoding::UndefinedConversionError: "\xC2" from ASCII-8BIT to UTF-8>
I'm generating HKD =[

I've just uploaded the STL files for the HKD version :-)

There really seems to be some customizer problem, but I don't get the error you're seeing. Would it be possible for you to post a screenshot of the error message? It would help me to understand where it's coming from (and hopefully, how to fix it! :-)

I do actually get an error message too, but it has no details (see screenshot) ... as everything works fine offline, I assumed this was a simple Thingiverse server timeout. (The model takes 3 minutes to render on my PC ... not sure how much computer power Thingiverse dedicates to Customizer!)

Is this new version have a hungarian forints ?

I have just uploaded the files for Hungarian Forints! :-)

Now that you mention, I still have a handful of forints lying around somehwere from my last vacation in beautiful Hungary. Probably I should get them sorted asap! ;-)

Hello, I´m trying to generate the files for Brazilian Real coins in customizer, but I always get these error:

<Encoding::UndefinedConversionError: "\xC2" from ASCII-8BIT to UTF-8>

Any advice to get it right ?

Are you using the Thingiverse online customizer, or the OpenSCAD offline customizer?

OpenSCAD is generally very intolerant of "special", for example accented, characters, and "\xC2" might stand for an "Â" (Latin capital letter A with circumflex). I don't know how one might have been accidentally injected into the online customizer, though.

I have just uploaded STL files for the Brazilian Real, so you probably don't need to debug this :-)

Wow ! That was fast ! Thanks for the files. The error was in the online customizer.

i cant find the files for the MXN currency.

I've just uploaded pre-rendered STL files for the Mexican Peso :-)

(The usual way to generate the STL files for any currency that doesn't have downloadable files yet, or to make a different customization for a currency where the files already exist, is to bring up with the "Customizer" app by clicking on a link on the right-hand side of the main thing image, and select the currency and other options in that app.)

hello, thanks for the great print!
i am printing the euro style.
How do you get the tubes in 2 colors as it is one file?
The topboard split is too big for an ender3 like printer, is it possible to make 2 files out of it?

In Slic3r, you can separate the individual objects from a single STL file with the "Split" option in the toolbar that runs across the top of the screen.

I'm not familiar with other slicers, but it's a very important function - if yours doesn't have it, consider downloading Slic3r: https://slic3r.org/

You don't actually need to switch over entirely, you can use Slic3r to simply split the STL components and save them individually.

However, to make things easy for you, I have just uploaded the split version of the EUR Top Board in two different files :-)

With regard to the tubes, I actually printed two different sets so that I could quickly replace one when it ran full, and do all the coin-rolling in one go after the sorting was done.

Thanks for the super quick reply ;)
I will look into the slicer, thx for the tip.
I am using simplyfy3d atm

Great design! It looks like the file for the Canadian topboard is wrong. Could you please have a look? Thanks!

You'll find the correct topboard file online now! :-)

Great project, thanks!

Where do I have to go to find the CAD (Canadian size) files? I don't see it in the "Thing Files" section...

To make things easier for you, I've just uploaded pre-rendered STL files for the Canadian Dollar version to the "Thing Files" section! :-)

The usual way to generate the STL files for any currency that doesn't have downloadable files yet, or to make a different customization for a currency where the files already exist, is to bring up with the "Customizer" app by clicking on a link on the right-hand side of the main thing image, and select the currency and other options in that app.

(Depending on the load of the thingiverse servers, it sometimes takes several attemps for the customizer to deliver results. I really wish they would fix that!)

It would be nice if you could add Polish Zlotys but still your project is nice.

I've just uploaded the STL files for the Polish Zloty version. Have fun! :-)

Looks great. Australian coin sizes would be amazing.

Glad you like it! :-)

I've just added Australian Dollars (and a bunch of other currencies) to the design.

Thanks. Amazingly fast response :)
