Since I gotten into 3D printing and design, I've always appreciated the Altoids Tins inserts. It's a great way to recycle a durable container. I've printed a few of the designs for friends and family and they turned out pretty well.
I made this design primarily for my father. He has his daily medications and couple he needs on hand for pain. I've printed him a pill container or two from other designers but those seem to get lost (lol). So after this last time that one got lost I designed this. It's using the Altoids Gum Tin. The gum is no longer available but AdaFruit has them produced for RaspberryPi Boxes. It's a good size that fits in the pocket without much bulk. I made two versions: one with dividers, and one without.
Hope this is of use to people. I know I'll be using it to keep a spare set of my daily meds (just in case). Let me know what ya think.
I used a 1.1 extrusion setting but your standard setting will be sufficient.
This is a tight fit. Be sure to trim any brim or skirt you may use for bed adhesion.
The best way to insert it in the tin is to tip one side in until it's under the brim of the tin. It should then slide into place. It's a pain in the butt to remove so be sure to add any adhesive before you place the insert, if you want to keep the rattling down.
