This is Direct Drive for Bens BLV printer . Im still working my way through printing parts (But here are the modded files thus far ) The IR sensor is going to fit on the fan bracket and intern fit to the E3D V6 hot end or protective cooler. Ben has suggested incorperating a 20mm piece of PFT tubing to fill the gap between the drive and E3d V6 hotend.
From the bracket to the tip of the E3D V6 Hot end is approimately 17.5mm gap on Bens Design. I'm thinking of eliminating that idea as personally I dont like it because I dont intend to print PLA. All my printing will be in ABS so my direct drive system will be a "Full Metal Jacket" straight from the drive. (Hence the need for eliminating the gap).
I'm currently trialing another bracket concept, but just thought I'd through it up here to get feed back and suggestions on possible improvements?

I have incorperated two IR Prob placement ideas in this model
Both will need to be printed to determine the correct height setting is adequate
Model can be easily seperated by choosing ungroup in Windows 10 3DBuilder
