My beloved Makita Cordless Drill needed a wall hanger. So I power-levelled my Fusion360 CAD skills to produce this decent model. I found an insanely good 3D model of a Makita drill online and then traced some shapes and extrapolated in to this model.
In the photos you can see the mount works with at least two different Makita models. I'm pretty sure others will fit, especially since the CAD model I based it off of is different from both models that I have.
There are 4 models here that are the same model, as follows:
- MakitaWallHangerByDocDawning: Probably what you want
- MakitaWallHangerByDocDawning_Mirrored: Print this to hide the branding
- MakitaWallHangerByDocDawning-R1: Same as above, reoriented for Thingiverse preview
- MakitaWallHangerByDocDawning_Mirrored-R1: See above comment
The R1 files above are all that's really needed here, but I didn't want to nuke the download stats, so I didn't remove the redundant files. #SorryNotSorry
Makita Drill Model
Here's the amazing CAD model I used to help me get the shape right: https://grabcad.com/library/makita-cordless-drill
Note that this particular Makita CAD model needs some decent work before it is itself usable for printing. Obviously the mount I've made is quite printable, as shown by the images.
A little more detail, including a download link for the Fusion360 file is available through my blog post about this model, here: https://dawning.ca/2019/3d-printable-makita-wall-hanger/
