Three construction puzzles with three answers. The answers, "keys", are made from assemblies of 20 cubes. Consider the keys to be a corner of a walled garden where a flower pot can take 3 different positions. The puzzle pieces are sets of four 5-cubes, ("pentacubes"). Puzzle 10, the trivial one, has obvious answers. Puzzle 9, the easy one, is clued by Puzzle 10. Puzzle 31 is difficult.
OpenSCAD code is included.
All pieces print without support in draft mode.
A tiling search was used to construct these puzzles see - tiling-04.tgz - at http://djm.cc/dmoews.html
There are 33 sets of four 5-cubes that construct the 3 keys. Twenty of the 29 pieces that make the 5-cubes are included in the 33 answers. Stl versions of all of the 5-cubes are contained in 5-cubes.zip, together with a readme.txt that lists the puzzles. View_5_sets.scad shows the 5-cubes pieces, either together or individually. View_puzzles.scad shows all the puzzles, either in groups or individually. Make_5_pieces.scad was used to make the files in 5-cubes.zip. Finally puzzle_answers.scad shows answers to many of the puzzles including the three submitted here.
