I quit using brims altogether about a year ago after losing a few prints to the stringy end coming off the plate and gumming up the actual model.

Looks like you are printing on glass. You'll get it.

I'm using the smooth PEI-coated steel sheet that came with my Prusa i3 MK3s. Normally I'm fine printing without brims, but this model builds expanding sections on top of tiny triangular footprints on the base, and they only get connected to the rest of the model later. I get the impression that printing that without any form of support needs a very finely tuned balance of bed adhesion and other parameters since even a small bit of curling or stringing will knock it loose, and I suspect a too-violent retraction may also do so. I've only had my printer for a few days, so I don't have things dialed in that well yet.

You have a really nice printer. I would push it ;)
