I remixed the original design by ferofox adding 3 more exits because I needed it for a few other components I am designing (you can see the first, a star crossing, in the photos).
Also, I noticed (but it could be my printer's or my slicer's fault) that the curved marble entrances in the original model were 0.4mm too low, thus making the ball "jump" slightly when coming out of the basic tile and onto an original adjacent tile. I made them 0.4mm higher, to make transition to and from this tile smoother.
Edit: I uploaded a new version, I made the 6 tabs on the bottom a bit thicker, because they tended to break easily, and added 3 hexagonal holes to be used for my Gravitrax Compatible Elevation System.
Edit 2: The version uploaded now is the final version, changes from the previous version are minimal, only a fillet on the outer edges and slightly larger hexagonal holes.
If you want to see possible uses of this basic tile with 6 exits, take a look at my:
Gravitrax compatible star crossing
Gravitrax Compatible "Temple of Chaos" - Randomizer
Gravitrax Compatible Elevation System
Gravitrax Compatible Cannon
Gravitrax Compatible Cable-Car (as a base for pillars)
Obviously, it will also work for modules that fit the stock basic tiles:
Gravitrax compatible Jump module
Gravitrax compatible wave slide
Gravitrax compatible spiral staircase
If you make this, it would be awesome to see pics of your makes!
Note: I am in no way associated with Ravensburger or Gravitrax, this is just a design that is compatible with the Gravitrax system that provides functionality the stock parts do not.
I do this just for mere fun, but if you find my projects useful to enhance your Gravitrax experience, consider the idea of tipping me, I'd really appreciate it! :)
All my custom designed parts in one track!
