A good plan, but because of the head leaving to go work on the other parts, the build quality suffers noticeably as compared to printing the parts individually. And with all that moving around in combination with the high height to base contact ratio means you might lose a piece mid print! (I lost three, though I blame a floppy ABP belt).

Hmmm you might be able to fit a full chess set on a Mendel. (except they'd all be the same color)

A BfB Rapman (current version) can handle up to3 print heads. I'm working on adapting the system to darwins.

BTW, challenge your makerbot. Who knows? It may just be the next Deep Blue!
