Nile Polymers Fluorinar-B™ PVDF Kynar® PVDF Copolymer
Fluorinar-B™ PVDF is an excellent filament choice for:
- wide chemical resistance
- long term UV exposure
- low surface energy
- SIP and CIP sterilization
- more than 200% tensile elongation
- 150 C maximum use temperature
- hydrophobic filament - zero moisture sensitivity
This part was printed on a heated glass build plate to 100 C. The hot end was 260 C and the print speed was 30 mm/s. Adhesion to the glass build plate was achieved by using Elmer's disappearing purple glue stick. The parts must be allowed to cool to room temperature. The glass will be damaged if the parts are removed prior to sufficient cooling.
How easy does this filament print? A little more difficult than PLA but easier than Nylon or ABS since it has very low warpage and prints on glass.
