The LDS Temples included are ones that I have drawn from photographs. There are 162 Temples world wide and another 40 +/- being designed or under construction. My goal is to draw all the Temples before I pass on. Being almost 90 that may not be possible.
The Salt Lake City Temple took 40 years to build and takes about 13 hours to 3D print at my settings.
I have an additional 5 Temples in my folder that I did not draw and are not included here.
I will be adding additional Temples as I get them drawn.
I have changed my normal settings to:
50mm/sec, 2 bottom layers, 2 perimeter layer, 6 top layers. The 6 top layers make a good top flat roof with 3% infill. Some temples I have printed without any bottom layer, 3 perimeter layers and no infill to add LED lights inside. Or (Seattle Temple) no bottom layers and then cut the infill out to add the LED lights.
A few Temples are printed in several parts and these I attach with CA glue.
If you want to add supports for some Temples then these will need removing.
The Angel Moroni will also have to attached. I print the Angel with Bronze filament. It will need to be scaled to Temple Size. The size of the Temples varies. The scale ratio I use is:
Temple length = 120mm, Angel size is 13mm tall.
My Temples I print to add LED lights. Print with 0 to 3%, (depending on the Temple), infill, perimeters 3, top 6 layers
All Temples have been drawn with AutoCad 11, solid modeling.
