Project Jointy Bot - An Introduction
Project Jointy Bot was a project I set myself in 2019 in order to design an articulated figure using a cup and ball joint. I first sketched out my designs on paper and then started to design the parts in Onshape (a free online cad program). I then downloaded the parts in an STL file format in order to print them out on a 3d printer for testing.
Through this process of designing - testing and evaluation, Jointy Bot was created.
He stands about 190mm tall and has 39 articulated parts with a total of 49 component parts.

This project is not suitable for small children because it contains small parts (choking hazard) and working with a naked flame.

Most of the parts will print without supports, but some parts do need supports (just set your slicer program to auto support). I printed with a brim for added stability.
