All kind time of day! I apologize in advance for my poor English. My name is Slava Ledenyov. I'm 15 years. And even in these very early years, I decided to take part in this interesting contest .I am from Russia and I hope that the current political relations between our countries will not affect your opinion about my project.
Design my project may be predictable, but this is the design I think is more appropriate for such conditions as life on Mars. Simplicity buildings first of all it is the simplicity of their construction, respectively, and the speed is higher , that is why I decided to ignore various fantastic buildings, because the first colonizers'll have in shortest possible time to settle on the planet.
So the first step in the creation of this project was my imagination. I decided that the main factor of a good and safe life, on the severe planet, will be, first of all, the safety of the expedition members. So the question immediately arose about how to protect people from radiation, strong winds, sharp drops in temperature and dust storms. The main material can serve as plastic and metal or rather their alloys and varieties. This is a fairly lightweight materials, so work with them will be easier in the initial stages. All buildings will have to be in sealed condition. Therefore, new technologies of 3d printing allows to produce material for the expansion of the colony on the planet. In the future the use of the resources of Mars, to strengthen structures and their protection from radiation. The second factor is the design of buildings. Built with the structure of cubic form, will not be suitable ,because on the planet there are constant sand storms, the accumulation of sand on the roofs will serve as an additional problem for the colonizers. So I decided to use in the project of the building which have a streamlined shape.
Now let's turn to my project. In the first photo, you can see the different buildings: 3 houses spherical shape, greenhouse, which will be grown various agricultural culture, and in the end, two garages with appliances. All these buildings are made in a spherical form that allows the sand not to accumulate on the roofs. Greenhouse and houses are connected by a corridor Energy sources can be: nuclear reactor, wind reactors, solar power, like solar, and on the basis of the principle of a heat engine. All buildings are connected by communications with the main reactor. Its peculiarity is that it redistributes obtained from wind reactors and solar energy between all structures.
