What a more fitting place to pretend your the God of Thunder than on the privacy of your own privy? Loud thunder. Pounding rain. Crys of war. Massive explosions. All to your hearts content.
The little bracket attaches to the cabinet or wall with the pointed end up.
And then Mjolnir just slides on to the bracket.
In the head I put some spherical voids to help make it print little faster. I guess if you wanted to you could pause the print and fill them with sand or rocks or whatever. Add some weight and you could just set it on the counter. Well, you could with out the weight. But it'd slide around easier.
The runes are all Elder Futhark. If you'd like to know what they are I got the info from The Sons of Vikings. Thanks guys.
I didn’t like the way the voids were printing. I think they were actually taking longer than just infill.
So I went back and made one large cylinder void. According to Cura it knocked about 6 hours off the print.
You will need to set up a support blocker in it. Or Cura is going to fill it. I went a head and blocked the hole for the handle too. Circles like that I usually have good luck printing, shouldn’t need support. But you might need some support for the runes on the side. I added a pic of my support blocker as an example too.
The new version with the bigger void is Mjolnir-BigVoid.stl.
And a shout out to every one in the FB group 3D Printing Useful Things! for giving me the idea.
