This is just one more of concept of AR glasses.
- Raspberry Pi Zero W (or any arduino like compatible board that can work with 0.96 SPI OLED display).
- 0.96 SPI OLED display.
- Some lens (I used one from a Google Cardboard 42mm diameter, cutted from both sides to make it 42 x 20 mm rectangle). Lens features (size and magnification) and position of the OLED display depends on each other and it is possible to use any other combination of them that will fit...
- Transparent piece of plastic (that is optically good enough to not deform the picture).
- Some software to display the information on the display. It's needed to mirror the picture. I use a python library and played with
background = background.transpose(Image.FLIP_LEFT_RIGHT) function for that.
There are a lot of such DIY glasses and probably only advantage of this design is not hiding side view.
