UPDATE 15 July 2013: As I get more experienced with mesh handling I've come back to update the .stl files for the funnel. The "top" and "bottom" parts are now good watertight meshes. If you tried to print these parts and had trouble with them, my apologies. They should work well now.
I like to use all the shampoo and detergent in the bottle, but it's annoying to hold the bottle upside down waiting for those last few drops. Ditto ketchup. Regular funnels make it hard to balance the upper bottle when you're trying to consolidate the old bottle and the new one. Wouldn't it be great to have a funnel which safely held the two bottles in place, letting the last drops decant in their own time?
This funnel set comprises a top funnel and a bottom cylinder. The top funnel will snugly hold the emptying bottle over the bottom cylinder, which will in turn snugly hold the receiving bottle. The funnel will fit bottles of less than 100mm diameter.
This is a 2 part print: the funnel part will sit into the lower cylinder.
I haven't tried a print yet because my Makerbot doesn't arrive for another 2 days. I'll try this in the coming week. I made the wall 2.5mm so hopefully that's a good thickness.
