I presume the square hole in the faceplate is meant to go over the matching square part of the Pi camera. But my camera (v 2.1) has an 8.5 mm square section. The faceplate has a 7.5 mm cut-out. Any chance you could make an 8.5 mm version (unless I've got something wrong)?

Sure, I will add an 8.5mm version when I get a chance.

Thanks for that. But it turns out it was a printing problem: "elephant feet" and some inaccuracy in printing. Trimmed the inner edges and it fitted.

See the attached .STL file. I made the cut out 8.55mm so you have a little clerance.

This looks nice! I just ordered my Pi and Cam and am looking forward to using this.
If I'm not mistaken, your pictures show this mounted on an Ender 5, right? If so, I wonder if you're also using a custom case for the Pi that fits the Ender 5 and if so, which one (assuming it's also on Thingiverse).
I still haven't been able to decide on a case design, as so far I haven't found any that were specifically advertised for the Ender 5. Also, most cases I found here so far seem to be lacking a slot for inserting the camera cable...

Hello Tiere777,

Thank you for the feedback. yes, I do have this mounted on my Ender 5. I modeled the face plate you see pictured (the case is not fully enclosed). This file is included when you download this model. Also, I would strongly recommend printing out one or more of the arm extensions as it gives you more freedom when positioning the camera on your printer. Let me know if you have any more questions. Also, would be appreciated if you posted your make!

Hi Josh,

thanks for replying! I think I did not express myself well... I was not asking about the case for the camera... I meant: what case (if any) did you use(/print) for the Raspberry Pi itself to attach it to the Ender 5 (if you did)?

I will definitely post my make. Right now I'm still waiting for my packages to arrive... ;)

Whoops, I read that wrong. I used this case (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:922740) and mounted it to the side of the printer.

Would you be kind enough to share the source files? I'd like to modify the 2020_Pi_Cam_Mount_Optional_Extension-V1.00 to have a 90 degree turn.

No problem, please post any remixes or makes. I would be interested in seeing what modifications you made!

I believe the mount ARMv1 is too wide to fit, I printed it and the size difference is wildly out.

What orientation did you print the arm in? I did not have any fitment issues when I printed the part and left a small gap between the arm and the base ? Also, I printed the part in PLA. What material did you print the part in? The arm should be 7.95mm and the base 8mm.

The arm is definitely out, I'm measuring the arm male fitting at 12.1mm thick (printed in PLA, base down). The base sizing is correct so it's not a scaling problem.

This error has been corrected (I didn't realize the wrong .stl file was uploaded). Thank you for pointing this out.

Please use this corrected model: 2020_Pi_Cam_Mount_Arm-V1.50.STL
