Quite a bit of post processing but totally worth it, the end result looks awesome! Did you print it solid (100% infill) in order to give it some weight? I had a similar sized shift knob on my old Miata machined out of aluminum and the weight was really nice.

Thanks!! This one is only 20%. Originally I was planning on using this to test fit and practice the post processing but then it came out so well I put it in until I can print one solid. Definitely would be nice with some more weight.

I recently realized that there isn't often solid info available on filament density, but figure something like a bronze fill metal PLA would probably be the best to get the heaviest results. I wonder if metal fill PLA is as subject to softening in a hot car as plain PLA? Don't know if there are any metal fill PETG or ABS blends out there that might address that.

That's a really interesting question. I really couldn't tell you the answer.
