Summary
3d printed Jigsaw Puzzle Tiles where initially created for a Tile Game I\\'d been working on. However I\'ve been printing them out for http://www.jigsawrenaissance.org Members to show support.
If you are a member and don\\'t already have one (or any one thing that prints out in 15min or less) contact the Jigsaw Renaissance Maker Space or me.
Instructions
Print out in different colors or natural white. Color or draw designs with sharpies or Rit Dye http://blog.makerbot.com/2010/05/31/dyeing-white-abs-parts/ them to whatever color you want. Version 0.2 pieces are currently only 30mm x 30mm x 1.5mm high for quick printing but can be easily scaled up to the thickness you want. Join the together in anyway you like to create shapes, letters, names, etc.
This Version 0.2 should interlock without much play in them. But may depend on how well your machine is calibrated and it\\'s skeinforge settings. Once I tightened up my X and Y axis everything started interlocking better.
I\\'ll include Rhino3d source and STEP output a bit later. As well as SVG/DXF if you have access to a laser cutter. (if you do I\\'d really like a set).
[UPDATE: July 30th 2010 - nope the tolerances are too close for the pieces to interlock without jamming or forcing them when using the default settings with the new RepG v18. I\'ve gone back and pulled another 0.0625mm off the sides and made them thicker (5mm) so they hold together easily but need to re-upload that version after some more testing.]
