3D printed rocket model
Designed according to FAI B- class rocket, but with shorter 50mm body part due to lower wolume of Ender 3. Design uses BT-20 motor tube, or paper tube wound on 18mm mandrel, as a motor-tube, around 15cm length, to protect body-tube from hot gasses.
Connecting ring is first glued with super-glue to lower cone, an then to body-tube. You can use more than one body-tube and make rocket longer, also connect tubes with connecting ring and super-glue.
For the nose-cone to body attachment, i printed "nose cone attachment" and glued it with super-glue to nose-cone.
Nose cone is printed with 5% infill.
Body tube, lower cone and connecting ring, printed in spiralize or vase mode, withone perimeter ( 0.4mm ) thickness!
Fins printed with 100% infill, lying on the side.
Body-tubes , connecting ring and nose-cone, need sanding at side wich lays on printer bead, since this part is usually little bit wider.
You can make it with 3 or 4 fins, attached with super-glue!
I printed mine in PLA, but i will try also PET-G for more heat- resistance.
I tested it with B-4-4 and C-6-5 motors, and it flies great.
