I really, really like the work you're doing with this project and I'd love to give it a try. Unfortunately it's not as easy as I'd hope.

Based on your comments you seem to have problems getting your ZIP archives to behave and instead just uploaded the separate files. I can understand your reason for doing that but the other side of that coin is a much more complicated process for the user when she has to figure out which of the 120+ files to download.

I've been scrolling through the files list for 10 minutes and I still can't figure out which file to download to get the one I want - in this case I'm looking for a wall to go with the E floor tile - so I'll most likely just give up and not print any of them. The main reason for this problem is that Thingiverse doesn't display the information required to make a informed decision.

The file names are truncated and the icons are too small to show exactly what the finished print will look like. The large previews has no information about what model it's displaying so that is of no help either. Downloading each file, one by one, and then go through them is quite time consuming.

If there'd been an easy way to download all files, either in a ZIP file or through functionality in Thingiverse, it'd be a lot easier for me to browse the files on my computer in whatever application I choose.

Again, I understand that it consumes time and energy replying to the same comment about broken ZIP-files over and over again, just know that there is a downside to uploading individual files.

Normally on thingiverse when you it "download all files" it creates a zip for you. No idea why this is busted, but I'll file a ticket.

Is thingiverse not granting the ability to download these in one zip file?

Sigh, yet another way this site is broken presently.

Normally I reserve dropbox access to patrons, but here's a link to dropbox for cut stone primary walls: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/uo4tx2dv87uwx7k/AABtoORvKibREU_wwRLY1JQCa?dl=0

Thanks, I very much appreciate it. I've been printing some stuff that I know I'd probably use, like bases and floor tiles, and I really like it so I look forward to printing some walls.

Thanks again.

How well do the magnets hold? They would be much more convenient than using clips if they are at least reasonably strong but I don't want to spend $13 and still have to use clips.

I almost never use clips. The only circumstances where I use clips are:

1) when I want to make a room ahead of time and just be able to drop it on the table as one piece.
2) multi story buildings that I want out on the table as multi-story (which is super rare)

Hi there-

I may just be new or missing it entirely, but are there wall files (not floor) that have the option to connect to Dragonlock bases? Or if you could tell me which walls to use that are compatible with Dragonlock clips that would be awesome too! Thanks for everything.

use files with "openforge" in the name. Then you print a dragonlock base of the same size and glue it on.

Hi Devon,

When I unzip cut_stone_primary_wall.wall.openforge.side_openlock.zip,
I get cut_stone_primary_wall.wall.openforge.side_infinitylock.zip instead of the proper files.

Any chance of correcting that?

Thanks

Sorry, I give up on the zip files. I don't know where in my process they are getting corrupted. I've uploaded the separate files instead.

Yup. I just accidentally printed 8 infinity lock walls because I thought they were open lock.

Hi Devon,

maybe i am blind, but where do i find the bases for the walls?

edit: Seems like the file cut_stone.base.primary_walls.zip mentioned in the other comment is missing now.

Keep up the great work! :)

Hi Devon

Is there a chance that the file "cut_stone.primary_wall.wall.zip" contents is incorrect? The extracted files appear to be bases and seem to be a duplicate of the contents of "cut_stone.base.primary_walls.zip"

As an additional comment, your work is awesome. Really adds to the tabletop and is greatly appreciated around my gaming table.

I figured out the cause. It should be fixed now. Sorry.
