A challenge was laid down infront of me to build a bed fort.
Using the mounting holes for an upper bunk bed and 1in PVC, this was my answer.
base mount . accepts the vertical and 45deg support. The 2 piece version allows for printing without supports and some versatility in mounting the frame to different surfaces. Adapters will be added as applications see fit.
Corner. initially intended to use pieces from the hardware store, but none were available. this is an XYZ orientation that should be obvious. the flat back version needs no support.
- Strut support. Hollow piece slides freely to allow for fine tuning before tightening the set screw. 'Clean' version removed all the ugly failed seams, chamfers and pipes covering inconsistencies that I still haven't quite mastered.
I printed these with 22% infill and 2mm walls. they shouldnt need the extra strength, but it couldnt hurt.
Update 7/10/2019. replaced the threaded base with refactored internal thread.
No supports are required only if printing the two remix pieces that dont need them. Orient the pieces so that the max angle is 45 and you should be fine.
