I don't mind at all. That's absolutely great!

thank you for your support....will be in the next stand revision (today or tomorrow).

any concerns with me releasing this?

Printed the clips during lunch break and I had to say it is not worthwhile. I stick to glue and removed the clips.

totally understood.....BTW, I linked your design off the main page.

Just checked the clip layout. I don't like the clips on the side, should be at least hanging. Of course it is possible but...

  • there are 56 tool changes
  • takes about 1.5 hours to print
  • when you do it in single color, you need support
Makes not much sense to me now.

suspected that supports would be needed to put numbers on the horizontal rail....am surprised by the number of tool changes and print time, but the slicer does not lie.

probably would not need supports for a vertical rail placement with friction fingers. But, the tool changes and print time might still be high and it seems like you think that placement would not work out well.

sometimes, things sound good, but just do not work out as you thought they might.....

thank you very much for considering my feedback and taking the time to test the possibilities.

this is a great idea!

i have a suggestion for improving the way the labels attach with two possible ways to implement.

option one would be to have the number placard "hook" onto that horizontal surface by curving over the top and slightly around the back. The fist attachment tries to illustrate this idea and also provides the dimensions on this part of the stand should you decide to pursue it.

option two is to move slightly up and to the left onto the vertical rail. The numbers would be held on by either friction fingers on either side of the rail or by wrapping slightly around the back of the rail. The second picture tries to illustrate this idea. The dimensions on the first picture would also be useful for pursuing this idea as well if desired.

I know what you mean and will update your suggestion tomorrow.

mis-clicked and flagged my own comment for moderation when trying to save an edit for a typo..... : )

this is a great idea!

I do have one implementation suggestion as I believe you could make the numbers easier to attach. I have two suggestions on how this might work.

option 1 would be to maintain your position on the bottom rail, but have the label loop up over the top of the rail.I am attaching a picture which tries to illustrate what I'm saying. It also includes the dimensions of this part of the stand should you be interested in pursuing it.

option 2 is to move the numbers onto the vertical rail, just above and to the left of their current location. They could be held in place with either some tension fingers or by wrapping all the way around to the back side of the rail. The second attached picture tries to show this idea. The dimension provided on this first picture would also be useful if you wanted to explore this option....
