A panel to fit the Dell monitors range which use the quick-release monitor stands. It allows you to mount a Dell monitor to a monitor arm without the inconvenience of having to keep screwing / unscrewing it when you want to take your monitor away!

Simply pass M4 bolts through the panel (ideally with hex heads, but other heads will work just as well), and then wind the nuts on the other side of the monitor mount. I used wing nuts for this.

When you print this, it might be a little tight for your monitor, so a little skimming may be required to get it "just so".

Has this worked for you?

It worked like a charm for a long time. Unfortunately, I think the combination of the stress of the weight of my monitor (2407WFP) and the heat it produced gradually caused the plastic to fail. To be clear - my monitor did eventually fall off the mount because the mount failed.

The failure mode was the top lugs snapping off (after bending considerably). I think if you had a more modern model, it would probably be fine thanks to reduced heat and weight. As a precaution, I'd recommend checking on the mount periodically.

It is also possible that there are better materials out there to use than the plastics I used at the time.
