The ultimate Nerf mag holder has been overhauled and is tacticooler than ever. No matter how rough you play, the sturdy construction and shock-cord grip will keep your mags close at hand. A new MOLLE attachment system makes printing and installing your Blitz Sayas easier than ever.
The Mk2 is lighter, better-looking, and easier to print. Pick from multiple variant parts and configure your Blitz Saya to match your style:
- Single-stack or double-stack
- Katana or Talon
- Darts down for security, or darts up to top off
- Lefty or righty Talon configuration
PETG is strongly recommended! Absolutely no support material is needed to print any part!
Please read the Customizing section to learn which parts to print!
After printing, all you need is some 1/8" shock cord, and an optional cord lock if you're feeling fancy, to complete the build.
All versions require two MOLLE loops on your tactical gear, and work with mass-produced and 3D-printed mags.
The Blitz Saya Mk2 improves the original to give you tons of game-critical benefits:
- Duplex model grips a single mag just as hard as two
- Easy to mount and remove from tactical gear
- Mags are easy to remove but won't wiggle free
- No flap or bungee to fumble with
- No 3D-printed tabs to break
- Can be mounted upside-down or right-side up
Tested at 0.2 and 0.4mm layers
No supports needed. Print flat against the plate so the layer lines are parallel with the magazine - see picture for reference. PETG is strongly recommended for strength and flexibility.
Threading the Cord
It's pretty self-explanatory, but if you need some help, consult the instructions from the original Blitz Saya.
If you're building a duplex Blitz Saya, remember that after you thread on your first Grip, thread on a Divider, then the second Grip.
Mounting the Saya
The Quick Fastener inserts into the bottom side of the Body. Weave it between your gear's MOLLE loops and push hard until it pops out the end. If you have a third row of loops, tuck the exposed tip of the Fastener under it for more stability.
How it Works
A Blitz Saya is made of one Body, one or two Grips, and an optional Divider. The Quick Fastener attaches it to your gear.
For a single-stack Blitz Saya, you'll need to print:
- One "Single" Body
- One Grip
- One Quick Fastener
For a double-stack Blitz Saya, you'll need to print:
- One "Duplex" Body
- Two Grips
- One Divider (optional, but strongly recommended)
- One Quick Fastener
Of course, you'll print Katana parts for a Katana-sized Saya, and Talon parts for a Talon Saya. Note that the Katana and Talon dimensions are different enough that a mag won't fit well into the other type's Saya.
Now that you know what you need, let's look over the parts!
Most parts have a Katana and Talon variant. Make sure you print compatible parts!
Bodies have Single and Duplex variants. The Duplex variant holds two stacked mags, but has a higher profile. FYI, the Duplex variant doesn't take twice as long to print. It's closer to 20%.
The Talon Body has two variants, Lefty and Righty. The Lefty variant orients the darts pointing left and vice versa. If you hold your blaster in your left hand and grab mags with your right, print the Lefty version, and so on.
Each Grip has a second variant, Darts Up. If you prefer to insert the base of your mag into your holster, print this variant. Note that the Darts Up Grip must be tighter, because it can't catch the mag-release notch.
